Smart functionality and aesthetic beauty can co-exist, and without great expense. That's the mission of Eric Mailaender and his small New York City architecture and interior design firm Resistance. His passion for using inexpensive, readily available materials in new and innovative ways has made waves in the industry.
Graduating with a Master's in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, Eric takes a problem-solving methodology to every aspect of his work. Solutions are born from his art, and his art is always a rational response to the site, program, functions and various constraints that ultimately inform the design.
