Do Veritas ResinArt Panels scratch easily?
No. Veritas ResinArt Panels can be specified with a hard coating for additional abrasion resistance. Even without the hard coating, textured Veritas ResinArt Panels are remarkably scratch resistant.

FORMING AND FABRICATING FAQs.
Can you change the shape of Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Yes, Veritas ResinArt Panels can be easily formed. However, Veritas ResinArt Panels that are specified with an extra-hard coating for additional abrasion resistance can not be formed. Only uncoated Veritas ResinArt Panels can be formed. Contact your local Veritas Rep if you are uncertain if your Veritas ResinArt Panels are manufactured with a hard coating. Always test a small sample prior to fabrication of your production sheets.

Can you vacuum form Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Some Veritas ResinArt Panels are more suitable for vacuum forming than others. Although the Veritas resin is easily formable, some interlayer materials may prevent the resin panel from forming. Avoid vacuum forming Veritas ResinArt™ Panels that feature a hard coating for abrasion resistance. Veritas is best suited for vacuum forming into shallow, subtle molds. Vacuum forming textured sheets will affect the uniformity of the sheet texture. For complete details, see Veritas Fabricating and Forming Guide.

What tools do you use to fabricate Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Veritas ResinArt Panels are cut using standard woodworking circular saws, saber saws, jigsaws and routers. Refer to the Veritas Fabricating and Forming Guide for a complete list of tools and cutting tips.

What hardware is recommended for securing Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Veritas offers a complete line of stainless steel hardware that works seamlessly with our Veritas ResinArt Panels. You can create your own unique way of securing Veritas ResinArt Panels with bolts, adhesives, hooks, clamps, brackets, stand-off systems, cable systems, edge grips, anchors and bases. The choice is yours!

Can Veritas ResinArt Panels accept shearing, punching and die-cutting?
Yes. Veritas ResinArt Panels are made of a tough but ductile material and are readily sheared, punched and die-cut when proper tools and techniques are used. Refer to the Veritas Fabricating and Forming Guide for more details.

Can Veritas ResinArt Panels be bonded with adhesives?
Solvent-bonding is generally preferred when joining two pieces of Veritas ResinArt Panels. When joining a Veritas product to a dissimilar material, there are many factors to consider when choosing the best adhesive. In some cases, mechanical bonding may be required. Recommended adhesives to use with Veritas ResinArt™ Panels can be found in the Veritas Fabricating and Forming Guide.

What are the by-products of combustion of Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Veritas ResinArt Panels are comprised almost entirely of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen molecules (> 99.9 wt%). When incinerated or burned in the presence of sufficient oxygen to fully balance the combustion reaction, the products of combustion are carbon dioxide and water.

What are the sound transmission ratings of Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Veritas ResinArt Panels tested to determine the Sound Transmission Class (STC) complied with ASTM E 90-90, Classification E 413-87. Results show that 3 mm (0.118 in.) Veritas ResinArt Panels would have an STC value of 24 dB. Veritas ResinArt Panel values will vary by gauge, for a complete rating chart, refer to the Sound Transmission section of the Veritas Gauges Guide.

What is the cold-bending radii of Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Cold-bending a sheet more than 2.5 mm (0.100 in.) thick will likely cause high stress levels, which may lead to part failure. When cold-bending, use the general recommendation of radius equals 100 x thickness of sheet. Refer to the Cold Bending section in the Veritas Fabricating and Forming Guide.

What is the impact resistance of Veritas ResinArt Panels?
Veritas ResinArt Panels have been designed to provide very high-impact resistance. In general, the material is ductile rather than fractile when the panels do fail. For complete details refer to the Veritas Typical Properties Guide.
